Juanita Dorothy Meyer, 82, of Boone, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her home in Boone.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 281 Spruce Lane, Boone, Iowa. Rev. Michael Standfest will officiate the service.

Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, next to the church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, at the Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home located at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at 3:30 P.M.

Juanita was born on March 25, 1929 in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Walter Henry and Wilhelmina Minnie (Kindt) Breitenkamp.

In 1946, Juanita graduated from Webster City High School, and attended the Chillicothe Business School in Missouri . Returning to Webster City, she worked as a dental assistant.

On December 4, 1949, Juanita married Loren F. Ehlert of Stanhope, Iowa. Later, she married Donald Lee Meyer on February 3, 1974 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Juanita enjoyed working with R.S.V.P. (Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Boone) as well as the Boone County Historical Society Visitors and Convention Center. She loved to play cards with her neighbors.

She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Don in 1996; her infant twin brother Warren Breitenkamp; her brother, Bernard Breitenkamp; her son-in-law Donald Stuhr; her daughter Lorna VanLangen and grandson Travis VanLangen. Surviving Juanita is her daughter Christine Stuhr of Glidden, Iowa; her son Warren Ehlert (Jacki) of Stanhope, Iowa; her son Jim Meyer (Jan) of Ankeny, Iowa; her daughter Karen Blend (Jim) of Eldridge, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; her brother Howard Breitenkamp of Webster City, Iowa; her son-in-law, Chuck VanLangen of Jewell, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Boone County Historical Society.

Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home located at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone is in charge of the arrangements.
